Information We Collect
AquariumSOS collects the minimum information needed to operate: your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter or purchase a tank plan, and standard anonymized analytics (page views, general location, device type) via Google Analytics. Interactive tools (diagnosis, compatibility checker, stocking calculator, cycling tracker) run entirely in your browser — the inputs you enter into those tools are never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly submit a form (such as the newsletter or the premium tank plan request).
How We Use It
Email addresses are used solely to send the content you signed up for (newsletter updates, or your purchased tank plan and related correspondence). We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use Brevo for email delivery, Stripe for payment processing, Google Analytics for traffic analytics, and Formspree for contact form submissions. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing the data they process on our behalf.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns. The cycling tracker tool stores your test readings in your browser's localStorage — this data never leaves your device.
Your Rights
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time via the link in any email. To request deletion of any data we hold about you, contact us at contact@aquariumsos.com.
Advertising — Google AdSense
This site carries ordinary display advertising through Google AdSense, which is what pays for the hosting and keeps the site free to read. Google and its partners use cookies to serve those ads, and depending on your settings they may be personalised based on your prior visits to this and other sites.
Advertising never influences what a page says. Nothing here is sponsored, no advertiser sees a page before it is published, and no affiliate link is planted inside reference content.
